  1. What an adorable idea! I had no idea that they made things like that! I have had dog tags before, but nothing as creative as this. Fortunately, I have not had to experience my dog going missing, but I know many people who have. I can see how this would really help someone get your pet back home safely. Thanks for such an informative post! That’s a very sad statistic indeed.

    • Hi Stormy,

Thank you for sharing your comments on my post. I agree with you that this is super creative, and that’s what I really like about this ID Tag. Yes everyone has an ID tag on their dog’s collar, but having this tag, just makes your dog that much cooler. HAHA.

I have lost pets in the past unfortunately, and they have never been found. It is such a heartbreaking situation, and I don’t think you really ever forget. I am hoping these tags, will help people find their lost pets. At least have a fighting chance of finding them.

      Cheers

  2. It’s such a cool idea that I’m surprised that nobody thought of it years ago. I thought for a minute you were going to say your dog would need a wallet to carry it in. lol

Then you explained that ‘you’ keep the license and the dog gets a tag. More people should pay attention to having identifying tags of some sort on their pets. There are always posters on poles around my place saying they need help finding their cat.  I guess people figure their cat doesn’t need a tag.

Hopefully, they will read your post and get their pet a license.

    • Hi Ray,

I thought the exact same thing as you did, what did nobody think of this years ago. Better yet why didn’t you or I think of this. LOL. I am honestly still laughing at my dogs carrying wallets. Too funny.

Yes so many people don’t have tags on their dogs and cats then the worst happens and the person that finds the dog, has no way to contact anyone to say they have your dog.  I also like that this ID tag also puts all the extra information on it like height and weight etc. Pretty genius idea.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on my post.

  3. Coralie,
This is such a neat idea! I especially like the fact that you get a copy as the owner. This makes reporting your lost dog so much easier because you have a picture of them in your wallet or on your keychain with all of their pertinent details as well as your contact information.

Like many pet owners, I have lost furbabies that never find their way back home. This tag would cut that possibility down dramatically, especially during crisis situations.

Do you know if they offer these in cat-sized options?

Thanks for the info and take care,

    • Hello Gwendolyn,

Thank you so much for sharing your heartbreaking story with me. I have gone through losing 2 pets and honestly I don’t think you ever get over wondering what happened to them. It is so tough to live with.

My hope with this post, is that people will purchase these tags for their pets and hopefully try to help all the lost pets out their.

To answer your question about cat tags, the answer is yes, they make them for cats and dogs equally.

      Thank you.

  4. I was 24 years old when I got my driver’s license. But for a dog to get a license? Wow, I could already feel the cuteness overload when my dog finally gets his own. I’ll make sure to recommend this idea to my friend, so I’m gonna’ share this blog post to him and try it for his dog as well.

Just wondering, is this only available for US and Canada citizens? Can they ship overseas, coz’ I live in the East.

Thank you for your comments on my latest post. I totally agree with you, that this product has the cuteness factor for sure. I appreciate you passing this on to your friend, and hope that they also enjoy it for their dog.

Unfortunately, they do only offer this product to the US and Canada. Hopefully they will expand their business to include other areas.

Here’s hoping they do expand. Thank you Dominic.

  5. Dear Coralie,

Thanks a lot for the informative and helpful post.

Great Idea and never ever thought about this before. Few years before we lost our dog (Mowgli) and as you mentioned Mowgli never returned home. We searched for many weeks and months, even now when I think about him it really hurts.

Pet ID tag will be a life saver for our pets. Indeed, pet ID tag is a must and the benefits are numerous. I got great insights from your post and thanks for sharing.

Great step by step walk-through on how to get the pet ID tag. How I wish I had found your article sooner few years before which would have saved our Mowgli.

Great information, you have really given a lot of value here.

    Much Success!

    • Hi Paul,

Hearing your story about Mowgli is absolutely heartbreaking. I have also lots 2 pets before in my life and I still have trouble just thinking about it. I don’t know if you ever really get over the loss. I am so sorry for your loss.

I think once a person loses or almost loses a pet,it makes us super concerned about it happening again. That is why I really like this product, although there are no guarantees your pet will be found at least this products really gives you a chance of finding your dog or someone seeing that they are loved and have a family

I am glad that you enjoyed my post and I really appreciate your wonderful comments.

Thank you Paul. Best of luck

  6. Hi, Coralie

You’re right us dog owners do love to keep our pets safe. I’ve enjoyed reading this review about Pet’s Driver’s License ID Tag. It seems like another fantastic item to get for my dog. Her name is Laydee, she is an American Stafford Terrier. I think she and I would love it.

Especially after reading the important reasons on why I should get a Pet DL. I’ve lost my dog before, in fact, she ended up almost 30 miles from my home. It was a good feeling at all.

Thankfully, I got her from the animal shelter and where I live, it’s mandatory to have our dogs microchipped. Without that microchip, she may have been lost forever. I do have a question is there a renewal fee? Or is it a one-time fee?

Anyhow, this Pet Driver’s License will be an added feature to our puppy collection. Thank you, so much for sharing this great news. I enjoyed reading and learning all about how I can protect my puppy with added security. Keep up the Awesome work! Have an amazing day! 😀

    • Hello,
Thank you so much for sharing your story about Laydee.  I can’t believe that she made it 30 miles away, that is unbelievable. Mandatory microchipping is a great idea, I have never heard of that before. I am so glad that you found her. To almost lose your pet, must have been so stressful.

The Pet Driver’s License is a one time fee, there is no other fees associated with it.
I really appreciate hearing your story and for you wonderful comments on my post. Thank you
      Coralie
